STH starts using the new pinpoint casenote tracking system in The Royal Hallamshire Hospital

After a year in development the latest Casenote Tracking Solution pinpointG3 has been put to work in The Royal Hallamshire Hospital medical records department.
Running 24x7, 365 days of the year, The Royal Hallamshire Hospital is one of 2 major NHS hospistals within the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (STH) and pinpointG3 is fully expected to work those same long hours, integrating with the Patient Administration System and facilitating timely delivery of medical records to where they are needed.
Following a close working association with STH during Design, Development, User Acceptance Testing and Implementation, data was migrated and users transitioned to the new system in a very smooth manner on Tuesday 30th April 2013.
The design and performance objectives for the new system were well met, leaving STH with an excellent platform operating trust wide, ready to roll out much further.
The Web Portal is used widely across the hospital to aid location of medical records, and the with solution comprising additional Windows and Mobile device components the Medical Records department have powerful tools at their disposal, all of which seem to be working in harmony from day 1. Whilst the system proves itself over the coming months, the Trust is already making preparations to ensure it ready for the next step - being introduction at the Northern General Hospital, later this year.
